SXSW festival austin texas

I was an officially SXSW photographer this year in Austin Texas. My last event as a Texas resident before I moved to Nashville. I am truly just so grateful to have been a part of something I’ve always dreamt about. Two years ago I was working for a hotel, shooting SX for them and dreaming about shooting for the festival as my own artist. Mark off the bucket list. The energy around Austin is beyond anything I’ve experienced. So many creative people in one place, celebrities, artists, activations, new technology. It’s truly so mind blowing. I had the honor of shooting the world premiere for everythingeverywheremovie, photographed Jade Bird, The Banksy Exhibit, Australia House on Rainey Street, Lizzo’s ‘Watch out for the Big Girls’ Party, ate some noodles at Doodle and tried to figure out what an NFT was and ended it all attending the world premiere of bodies bodies bodies. This festival changed everything for me. How crazy to finally attend the festival as a photographer, after years of enjoying it as an Austin local.
