Portugal

Oh Lisbon. Lisbon was a destination that was never on my radar. And I’ll be honest I went into it having done no research, looking at zero pictures, and have zero expectations. Lisbon is a charmer, let me tell you. The city is full of old cobble stone streets, cable cars, old churches, and beautiful tile. A day trip to Sintra and Parque de Pena is a must, and then head back into the city to explore the Tower of Belem. It’s the “hidden gem” of Europe, and its worth a see if you are looking for an under-the-radar-European-charm. Lisbon is known for four things: Cork, Sardines,Tiles, and my favorite…Ginjinha Shots.
